Job summary

Knife River is seeking an Equipment Operator Grade Team member in Montana to perform daily equipment inspections, operate curb machines and read grade stakes with accuracy. The role requires maintaining safety, quality, and timely production while communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years of equipment maintenance/operation experience, a valid license and medical card, and exposure to TopCon GPS systems.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years equipment maintenance and operation experience.
• Valid licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment inspections and site checks to identify unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and operate curb machine, including fueling and cleaning.
• Read grade hubs and set string line for curb machine.
• Communicate effectively; team player with good interpersonal skills and respectful behavior.
• Troubleshoot production issues and discuss with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR safety and environmental compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
