Job summary

Knife River Corporation in Belgrade, MT seeks an Equipment Operator Grade Team member to operate curb machine, perform maintenance, read grade hubs, set string line, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, lubrication, fueling, and coaching coworkers to meet production standards while complying with OSHA and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• General education or high school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years equipment maintenance and operation experience
• Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
• TopCon GPS experience preferred
• Concrete finishing required

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and keep equipment maintained
• Maintain curb machine by lubricating, fueling and cleaning
• Operate curb machine (start/stop engine, set up)
• Read grade hubs and set string line for curb machine
• Communicate effectively; be a self-motivated, team player with good interpersonal skills and maintain positive customer relations
• Troubleshoot production issues and discuss problems with coworkers and supervisors
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

2. 2. 2 years equipment maintenance and operation experience
3. 3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
4. 4. TopCon GPS Experience Preferred
5. 5. Concrete Finishing required

Duties & Responsibilities

1. 1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
2. 2. Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on curb machine
3. 3. Safely and properly operate curb machine (including starting and stopping engine, and setting up)
4. 4. Read grade hubs and set string line for curb machine
5. 5. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others
6. 6. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
7. 7. Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
8. 8. Performs other duties as assigned
