Job summary

Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Art Exhibitions + Technology Support professional to plan and execute student exhibitions and manage digital-media spaces on-site. Lead installation, curatorial concept development, and equipment handling to showcase student work.

The role requires at least 2 years in arts/education/technology, a Bachelor’s degree, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. On-site schedule Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in arts, education, technology, exhibition work, gallery operations, or related fields.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with repeatable systems.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand during installations.
• Familiarity with MacOS, iPadOS, Chromebooks and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute student exhibitions and showcases, including curatorial concepts and layouts.
• Provide direct on-site support for students and staff using technology from the digital media inventory.
• Inventory and maintain DAE-owned devices, including warranties and supply stock.
• Oversee preparation, transport, and installation/deinstallation of artworks and media assets.
• Troubleshoot technology problems or escalate as needed.
• Assist with purchasing and inventory of arts classroom materials.
