Job description

Are you ready to join Connecticut Innovation’s vibrant community of innovators? Connecticut Innovations (“CI”) is Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm, and we are passionate about serving our portfolio of 220+ companies across various industries, with strengths in life sciences, technology, and climate tech.

Come join Curacity: Hotel marketing software that turns media into revenue!!

Location: New York City (Hybrid) or Atlanta, GA
Reports to: VP of Product
About Curacity

Curacity is a two-sided marketplace connecting travel brands that need to be discovered with the publishers, travel writers, and content creators travelers actually trust. Hotels and cruise brands define the editorial coverage they need; our network of publishers and creators produces original content; Curacity coordinates the fulfillment and measures the outcomes.

We operate two products on that network. Newsletter places original editorial recommendations in front of publisher subscriber audiences and ties the resulting bookings back to the content that drove them. Vista AI builds the distributed editorial footprint that determines whether a property gets recommended when a traveler asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, or Gemini where to stay.

Curacity partners with publications including AFAR and Travel + Leisure, and was named among Inc. 5000's Top 20 Travel & Hospitality Companies and Digiday's Best Content Marketing Platform of 2024. We are headquartered in New York with an office in Stamford, CT.

Role Overview

Curacity is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own VISTA AI.

This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, customer experience, adoption, and retention of VISTA AI, including its intelligence and matching capabilities. You will report to the VP of Product and lead through influence across engineering, data science, design, customer success, sales, marketing, and Curacity's media organization.

VISTA AI already provides customers with visibility into how their brands appear across AI-driven travel discovery. Your mandate is to make that visibility increasingly credible, useful, and connected to action — turning signals into the systematic matching logic that determines which publishers cover which hotels on which topics, replacing today's manual process with product-driven intelligence.

You will partner closely with an AI Data Analyst who will investigate signals, develop measurement methodologies, and evaluate which inputs are meaningful. Your job is to connect that research to customer problems and commercial outcomes: deciding what Curacity should build, how customers should experience it, and whether it is driving sustained value.

Curacity's competitive distinction is not measurement alone. Most AI visibility tools stop at reporting. Curacity connects measurement to an editorial network that can actually change the numbers — and this role owns the intelligence that makes that connection work.

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for VISTA AI and its intelligence layer.
  • Own the product lifecycle from customer discovery and prioritization through delivery, launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
  • Own the systematic matching logic that determines which publishers and creators cover which hotels on which topics for VISTA AI — replacing manual matching with product-driven intelligence.
  • Build the product that surfaces topically relevant, curated content opportunities to the right creators, informed by hotel profiles, topic gaps, and performance history.
  • Establish a deep understanding of the needs and workflows of hotel marketers, commercial leaders, revenue teams, destinations, cruise lines, and other VISTA AI users.
  • Evolve the existing visibility layer — measuring how hotel brands appear in AI recommendations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, and other systems — into a product customers trust and engage with repeatedly.
  • Translate customer questions such as "Where are we visible?", "Why are competitors outperforming us?", and "What topics need editorial attention?" into product capabilities.
  • Partner with the AI Data Scientist to define, test, and validate signals, methodologies, benchmarks, and product hypotheses.
  • Define requirements for dashboards, benchmarks, alerts, competitive intelligence, and recommendation-rate reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to improve onboarding, activation, feature adoption, engagement, retention, and expansion.
  • Develop a structured customer-feedback program in partnership with customer success and sales.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs, identifying where customers disengage and leading improvements to the experience.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams on positioning, packaging, launches, customer education, and sales enablement.
  • Maintain a clear view of how hotels are monitoring and improving AI visibility — understanding the competitive landscape not just at the feature level but at the thesis level, since most competitors are measurement-only and Curacity's value is connecting measurement to the editorial network that moves the numbers.

The primary measure of VISTA AI's value is whether customers' AI recommendation rates improve. This PM does not control every variable that produces lift — content execution, publisher quality, and the behavior of AI systems all contribute — but owns the intelligence and matching quality that determine what coverage gets created and where.

Success will be measured through:

  • Demonstrated recommendation-rate lift for VISTA AI customers on their priority topics.
  • Customer activation and time to first meaningful insight.
  • Adoption of visibility, intelligence, and matching features.
  • Monthly and weekly engagement among target customer roles.
Qualifications
  • Five or more years of product-management experience, including meaningful ownership of a B2B data, analytics, intelligence, measurement, or AI-enabled product.
  • Familiarity with generative-engine optimization, LLM evaluation, recommendation systems, citations, sentiment analysis, or AI-monitoring products.
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces, particularly products where matching quality is a core differentiator.
  • Experience taking complex data and turning it into clear, actionable customer experiences.
  • Strong product judgment, especially the ability to distinguish an interesting analytical finding from a valuable product capability.
  • Experience partnering with data scientists and engineers on experimentation, signal development, data quality, recommendations, ranking, or machine-learning products.
  • Experience building or owning systematic matching, recommendation, or optimization logic — products where the software makes allocation or prioritization decisions that previously required manual judgment.
  • Strong analytical fluency and comfort making decisions with incomplete or noisy data.
  • Strong customer-discovery skills and a willingness to engage directly with users throughout the product lifecycle.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to commercial, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the underlying technology and customer expectations are evolving quickly.
Required Experience
  • Five or more years of product-management experience, including meaningful ownership of a B2B data, analytics, intelligence, measurement, or AI-enabled product.
  • A track record of improving adoption and retention for a recurring-revenue software product.
  • Experience defining product metrics, evaluating funnels and cohorts, and using qualitative and quantitative evidence to prioritize work.
  • Strong customer-discovery skills and a willingness to engage directly with users throughout the product lifecycle.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to commercial, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to create clarity without relying on formal authority.
  • Commercial orientation and an understanding of how product decisions affect retention, differentiation, expansion, and revenue.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the underlying technology and customer expectations are evolving quickly.
  • Familiarity with generative-engine optimization, LLM evaluation, recommendation systems, citations, sentiment analysis, or AI-monitoring products.
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces, particularly products where matching quality is a core differentiator.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, media, marketing technology, advertising technology, search, or competitive intelligence.
  • Experience building products that connect upper-funnel activity with transactions or revenue.
  • Experience designing customer experiences around probabilistic data and explaining uncertainty.
  • Familiarity with hotel marketing, distribution, revenue management, or property-management-system data.

Deep hospitality experience is not required. We are more interested in a strong B2B data-product manager who is curious about the industry and can quickly learn its customers, commercial models, and workflows.
