Job summary

BBNC is seeking a Culture Camp Manager to lead the planning and operations of the annual Culture Camp. The role spans outreach, curriculum development with instructors and elders, staff recruitment, procurement and all travel/logistics.

The position reports to the Senior VP of Shareholder Development and requires strong leadership and project-management skills. Responsibilities include coordinating site preparation, safety, budgeting, transportation, and collaboration with regional partners.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the cultures and peoples of the Bristol Bay region.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with groups of children or participants.
  • Proven project management and logistics planning experience.
  • Experience coordinating camp activities, staff and vendors.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation of the annual culture camp program.
  • Develop outreach plans and sustain relationships with regional partners.
  • Collaborate with instructors and elders on camp curriculum.
  • Procure camp infrastructure, supplies and safety equipment.
  • Plan logistics, recruitment, and participant transportation.
  • Coordinate budget, daily activities and menus for camp.
  • Schedule staff, elders and transportation and ensure safety.
