This paid internship offers hands-on fieldwork, data entry, lab tasks, and opportunities to contribute to education and outreach programs while working with industry professionals. The role requires current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field, with emphasis on a strong work ethic and the ability to travel for field assignments.

HDR's cultural resource department is currently taking applications for our cultural resources (archaeology / historic preservation) internship program for the Summer 2027. This is a paid position intended to provide current students with experience working in the field of cultural resources management. Summer field projects are anticipated to consist of archeological survey, eligibility testing, and data recovery, with associated data entry and lab work (such as lithic, faunal, or FCR analyses). Interns will also have the chance to participate in report and document write up as well as contribute to education and outreach projects. This role will have significant field time, including travel both in and out of state, potentially for long periods of time.
