Job summary

City of Phoenix seeks a Groundskeeper in the Arts and Culture Department to care for cultural facilities, landscaped grounds, archaeological areas, and historic sites. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and upkeep of outdoor spaces, plus cleaning and maintaining exteriors and walkways.

You will operate landscaping tools and gas-powered machinery as needed to complete assignments. The role is hands-on and outdoors, with potential irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn cleaning, maintenance, and gardening methods and operate related equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
• Ability to professionally communicate with staff and guests.
• Ability to identify safety hazards and report them promptly.
• Knowledge of chemical application.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, plant, weed, and maintain landscaped areas.
