Description

Reports to: Supervisor/Manager, Cultivation or Manager, Facility Operations

Position Overview: The Cultivation Technician is responsible for plant care throughout all stages of the cannabis growth cycle, including germination, vegetative, flowering, and harvest. The Technician records, monitors, and tracks observations using the company's software tracking system.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Plant, water, fertilize, and care for plants, shrubs, and trees using hand and gardening tools.
  2. Harvest, transplant, pot, and label plants.
  3. Record observations about plant growth and health.
  4. Inspect leaves for pests or disease, and assess plant quality.
  5. Fill tanks with water and maintain cleanliness of work areas and tools.
  6. Water all plants daily as per the checklist.
  7. Transplant plants into larger containers as needed.
  8. Trim plants during the vegetative stage and create clones.
  9. Wash and sanitize pots, trays, and lights.
  10. Harvest and trim flowering plants.
  11. Stake weak plants and examine for pests or disease.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, production, or manufacturing environment, with hands-on responsibility for full scope production activities.
  • Knowledge of medical cannabis production or horticulture, with willingness to learn.
  • Experience with inventory control methods.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work with senior management.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements

Physical activity including standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 10 pounds or more, with good visual acuity, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions. Moderate noise level in the environment.
