Job summary

iAnthus Capital Management is seeking an entry-level Cultivation Technician I to support daily plant care tasks under direct supervision. This position introduces employees to the full plant lifecycle within a cannabis cultivation facility.

You will participate in veg, flower, harvest, and trim processes, gain foundational skills, and work in a fast-paced team environment with safety and compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• No cannabis experience required; experience in agriculture, horticulture, or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plant care tasks: transplanting, watering, pruning, and defoliation under supervision.
• Support harvest activities: cutting plants, tagging, weighing, and organizing batches.
• Assist with basic trimming operations including machine trim loading/unloading and tray cycling.
• Participate in room sanitation procedures and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols including PPE usage and movement restrictions.
• Complete required documentation accurately, including plant counts, task logs, and sanitation forms.
• Attend required training sessions and demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to feedback.

Summary

The Cultivation Technician I is an entry‑level role responsible for supporting daily plant care tasks under direct supervision. This role introduces employees to core functions in veg, flower, harvest, and trim and is designed to build a strong foundational understanding of the full plant lifecycle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Perform basic plant care tasks: transplanting, watering, pruning, and defoliation under supervision

Training & Development

• Consistent development of skills
• Participating in quarterly department meetings
• Owning personal training and development regarding current on product knowledge and policies and procedures and seeking out answers as needed from the Manager

Controlling & Preventing Loss

• Proficient in product protection
• Maintain current and up to date knowledge of security procedures and protocols as applicable to position and facility
• Assisting in the execution of monthly product and supply inventory audits as needed
• Maintain current and up to date knowledge Loss Prevention (LP) procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks

• Able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a day and rotating shifts;
• Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays;
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds;
• Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day;
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
• Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs;
• Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:
• General office environment;
• Extended computer usage;
• Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and
• Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise

Hourly pay for this full-time position is $21.00/hour
