Cultivation Technician I (Maintenance)
Position Summary
The Cultivation Technician I performs cannabis plant care in all stages of its life cycle. This is an entry-level position responsible for rotating between a limited number of functional areas.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Follow instructions given by the manager.
- Complete basic plant maintenance including bottoming, thinning, topping, and spacing.
- Transplant (up-pot) to larger containers using proper techniques.
- Harvest plants according to schedule and procedures, ensuring accurate weighing and recording in the state electronic recordkeeping system.
- Dispose of plant waste following state regulations, including weighing and recording waste.
- Sanitize rooms according to procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes and specifications.
- Comply with company SOPs and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety procedures, wearing PPE, and reporting hazards or injuries.
- Behave positively, cooperatively, and encourage teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in landscaping, production, manufacturing, or similar environments preferred.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass a background check per state regulations.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent hand motions and manual dexterity.
- Ability to sit or stand for over 8 hours.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform various physical activities including climbing, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and handling.
- Use of a step ladder.
- Visual acuity for reading small labels and screens.
Workplace Environment
- Warehouse/production setting with environmental controls.
- Moderate noise level from machinery and HVAC.
- Exposure to humidity, temperature changes, and vibration.
- Bright light and eye protection required.
- Exposure to cannabis odors and dust, with PPE provided.
- Potential skin contact with plants, which may cause allergies.
