Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Cultivation Technician and IPM Applicator to join our team! As a key player in our cultivation department, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day care of our cannabis plants, including harvesting, deep cleaning, replanting, trellising, defoliating, and applying IPM products in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including planting, cloning, watering, collecting runoff, pruning, harvesting, and cleaning.
• Assist with plant health, identifying and addressing any issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental conditions.
• Assist with the cleanliness and organization in the grow area, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly sanitized and stored.
• Safely mix and apply IPM products and other treatments as needed to maintain plant health.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding IPM product use, including proper documentation and reporting.
• Observe and report any damage caused by pests or IPM products.
• Fill out IPM product application logs after each application, including types, quantities, and dates of use.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
• Participate in mandatory annual training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Submit to and pass a mandatory annual fit test to ensure your safety when wearing PPE (personal protective equipment)

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of plant biology, pests, and diseases specific to cannabis (a plus)
• Familiarity with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices
• Ability to work with a diligent team in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in various environmental conditions
• Able to pass a fit test regarding wearing a full face respirator
• Must be able to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required or directed by management

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in a dark, humid, warm environment
• Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Working an entire shift on your feet
• Using hand pruners all day when harvesting
• Climbing up and working on ladders for extended periods
