Job summary

A Cut Above in Portland, OR is seeking a hands-on Head of Cultivation to lead our indoor cannabis operation, driving crop health, production planning, and continuous improvement. This role demands deep plant science knowledge, data-informed decision making, and strong leadership to build a high-performing team.

You will manage environmental controls, fertigation, and SOPs, partnering with ownership to optimize quality, yield, and efficiency while ensuring OLCC compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial indoor cannabis cultivation experience.
Experience leading cultivation teams.
Strong knowledge of plant physiology and nutrition.
Hands-on with coco-based cultivation and data-informed crop steering.
Ability to program and troubleshoot automated irrigation and environmental controls.

Responsibilities

Own crop health, development, and performance across production.
Develop and refine cultivation strategies using data and plant physiology.
Lead and develop the cultivation team; set priorities and standards.
Create and maintain SOPs for irrigation, fertigation, environmental monitoring.
Coordinate production planning and ensure safety and quality compliance in OLCC context.
