Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. in Arden Hills, MN is seeking a flexible on-call Culinary Technician to support the Culinary Center, serving both retail and food service test kitchens.

The role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchens, stocking staples, coordinating groceries, and ensuring equipment upkeep. Preferred background includes 2 years in a food service kitchen or catering; hours are based on business needs and require availability several days per week between 8am and 4pm

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen operations and cleanliness skills.
• Familiar with standard computer tasks such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchens: wash dishes, clean counters and equipment.
• Maintain organization of Culinary Center: stock staples and organize storage areas.
• Order groceries (Instacart) and manage check-in, distribution, and notification of arrivals (Sysco).
• Handle other duties as assigned and support team as needed.

Culinary Technician

This position will work as an on-call Culinary Technician in the Land O'Lakes Culinary Center supporting both the retail and food service test kitchens. This person must understand the workings of a professional kitchen, obtained by working in a food service kitchen or catering business. These skills will be leveraged for maintaining the kitchen facilities, ordering and organizing groceries, and equipment upkeep.

Maintain Cleanliness of Culinary Center

• Washing and putting dishes away in all kitchens
• Washing, drying, and folding laundry as needed
• Cleaning countertops, tables, and equipment as needed

Maintain Organization of Culinary Center

• Stock kitchen staples
• Organize and maintain all storage areas

Groceries

• Order groceries through Instacart as requested
• Check-in, distribute, and notify requestor of grocery arrival
• Check-in, distribute, and notify requestor of Sysco product arrival

Other

• Familiar with basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office
• Other duties as assigned

Background: Preferred minimum of 2 years working either in a food service kitchen or in catering business.

Position is a flexible on-call position, no guaranteed hours, work is based on business needs. Must be available several days per week between 8am and 4pm and be able to work at the Land O'Lakes, Inc., Arden Hills, MN office.
