Job summary

Crowne Plaza Lansing is hiring a Dish Steward to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. The role supports overall kitchen operations by stocking dishes, utensils, and ensuring the dish machine runs efficiently.

You will engage with team members, operate cleaning equipment, and adapt to varied temperatures and busy, cyclical schedules in a hospitality setting. This is an on-site role at the hotel.

Qualifications

• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in culinary areas.
• Set up, clean, and operate the dish machine efficiently.
• Engage positively with associates.
• Adapt to controlled and extreme temperatures, including high humidity and over 110°F.
• Maintain mobility for up to 8 hours.
• Lift items up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Maneuver carts weighing up to 150 pounds regularly.
• Perform repetitive motions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Put cleaned dishes and utensils away in proper place.
• Maintain the dish machine and dish room in an organized manner.
• Deliver glasses, plate ware, etc. to various departments per supervisor’s instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, bus speed racks, and related areas.
• Care for employee breakroom cleanliness and upkeep.
