We Are Hiring:Culinary Specialist- WMH- 1.0 FTE

Schedule Details:This 1.0FTE position will be scheduled to work 40 hours per week. Shift start times vary from 11:30am - 12pm, shift end times vary from 8pm - 8:30pm. Every other weekend and a rotating holiday schedule are required.
**This position will not require any late nights and will offer a great work life balance (done working by 8:30pm)**
(Hourly pay will include a PM shift differential!)

What You Will Do:

As a Culinary Specialist, you will play a key role in the success of our culinary team, performing a variety of duties to ensure the effective operation of our food service department. This includes preparing and cooking meals for patients, guests, and catered events, while maintaining our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.



Responsibilities Include:



  • Kitchen Hygiene & Safety: Maintain impeccable hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in all kitchen areas at all times.

  • Patient Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food for patients following prescribed therapeutic diets, ensuring nutritional needs are met.

  • Food Production: Prepare and cook food for retail outlets, catered events, and Meals on Wheels/Caring Place programs, adhering to recipes and Food Service Policies and Procedures.

  • Temperature & Quality Control: Maintain food temperature logs for hot and cold items according to HACCP, Joint Commission, County, State, and ServSafe guidelines.

  • Cash Register Operations: Perform cash register operations as assigned.

  • Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate skills in basic culinary fundamentals such as emulsified vinaigrette, bechamel sauce, searing salmon fillets, breaking down primal cuts of meat, proper knife skills, and plated meal presentations.
