Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Services Coordinator to oversee culinary operations and enhance the Gold Leaf Dining experience. You will plan menus, supervise kitchen and dining room staff, and ensure high standards of atmosphere and food quality for residents.

The role includes budgeting, staff scheduling, and daily interaction with residents while maintaining compliance with food safety standards and Legend’s dining program.

Qualifications

• One year of experience cooking in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience supervising culinary staff preferred.
• Current food handling license as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Plan a variety of nutritious meals meeting dietary requirements, including special requests.
• Manage department budget and inventory controls.
• Directly supervise all dietary staff including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Work daily as part of the team to ensure high-quality service under Gold Leaf Dining standards and interact with residents.
• Ensure all cooking, serving, storage, preparation and service areas meet safety standards and regulations.
• Act as Manager-On-Duty on a rotating basis with other department leaders.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS--

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Culinary Services Coordinator. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by overseeing culinary operations. This includes menu planning and supervising the kitchen and dining room staff. The culinary team enhances Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.

Responsibilities--

• Planning a variety of nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements, including special requests if requested
• Managing the department budget and expense management, including inventory
• Directly supervising all dietary staff to including hiring, training, scheduling, etc.
• Working daily as a part of the team to ensure quality food service in accordance with Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining standards, including interacting with residents daily
• Ensuring all cooking, serving, storage, preparation, and service areas are clean, safe and organized to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
• Acting as Manager-On-Duty on a rotating basis with other department leaders
