Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and to support residents with excellent service as part of the culinary team. The role contributes to Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining experience and high standards of atmosphere and food quality, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide top culinary service and professional interaction to residents and associates.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be organized, flexible and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on assistance with residents' dietary needs and fulfilling special meal requests.
• Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with meal service.
• Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards and regulations.
• Following safe work procedures including injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Labeling and dating all food in refrigeration and storage areas.

You will make a difference in the lives of residents by using fresh ingredients to create nourishing meals from scratch. The culinary team enhances Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.

Responsibilities--Cook

• Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas

• Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage
