The Wellington at Arapaho, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment in Richardson, TX. You will support the Culinary Services Director and help maintain dining operations that foster quality care and satisfaction for residents.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, a state-required Food Service Sanitation Certificate, and prior experience in volume meal

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services including service delivery, customer service, and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; keep work area and equipment orderly.
• Ensure leftovers are labeled, dated, and stored properly.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities Include

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
