Full-Time - 32-40 hours per week (Includes Every Other Weekend)

Ginger Cove is currently seekingFull-Time Culinary Services Associate (Dishwasher)to support our Culinary Services department.

The Culinary Services Associate is responsible for working in accordance with established policies and procedures, and/ or specific instruction from the Director of Culinary Services, Executive Chef, or Kitchen Manager. Ensures kitchen is stocked with necessary tools and equipment for safe and smooth operation. Maintains sanitation standards through proper food handling and thorough cleaning of kitchen work areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses proper food handling techniques, using time material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after each use.
  • Dispose of any trash.
  • Ices all seafood and poultry products daily.
  • Checks storage levels on shelves in storerooms and refrigerators.
  • Communicates daily with Supervisor about paper products needed.
  • Cleans shelves and gaskets in all refrigerators.
  • Stocks supplies prior to meal service.
  • Restocks items after kitchen production is closed.
  • Maintains sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning work areas.
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behaviors set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of duties.
  • Adheres to the Organization’s policies and procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting possible concerns.
  • Follows all local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.
  • Adheres to the Organization’s policies and procedures regarding Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Must be familiar with and complete training relating to Risk Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation services.
  • Experience in long-term care setting or related health care field preferred.
  • Must present self in a professional manner.
  • Most possess concern, responsiveness, and tact when dealing with others.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others to help colleagues to achieve respective goals for creating wellness opportunities and experiences for our residents.
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified timeframe.
