Job summary

The Spine Hospital of Louisiana is seeking a friendly Culinary Services Aide to join our team. This role supports our employees, physicians, patients, and visitors by preparing and serving meals, handling cash, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High school diploma or equivalent and prior food service or healthcare experience. We value strong customer service, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in fast-paced hospital cafe settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.
• Serve customers in the hospital café and dining areas.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Stock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation, serving, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
