Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is seeking a Culinary Service Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, guests, and staff in a 12p-8pm full-time role. You will work under the Culinary Services Director and with an interdisciplinary team to support therapeutic diets and dietary plans.

This position emphasizes quality, cost controls, and resident dignity, offering opportunities for career growth within Monarch's growing network of facilities in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents.
• Must qualify for employment after background check per Minnesota DHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and be responsible for preparing foods for residents, guests and employees.
• Coordinate with Culinary Services Director and interdisciplinary team to increase acceptance and compliance with therapeutic diets.
• Promote food service standards through cost, quality and quantity controls.
• Provide meals that meet residents' desires, offering as much choice as possible with dignity.

Culinary Service Cook

Schedule: 12p-8pm, full-time

The Culinary Service Cook is accountable to prepare, serve, and/or be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. With direction from the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, the cook increases residents’ acceptance and compliance especially among those with therapeutic diet orders. To promote food service standard through cost, quality and quantity controls. Provides meal service that meets the desires of the resident, by allowing as much choice as possible and giving foodservice that preserves the element of personal dignity.

Qualifications:

• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
