Job summary

Jennings is seeking a Culinary Service Assistant in Garfield Heights, OH. This full-time role covers early and late shifts (6a-2:30p or 10:30a-6:30p) including every other weekend and holiday, performing a variety of food service tasks to ensure residents receive timely, high-quality meals.

You will set up trays, serve on the tray line, assist in food preparation, and maintain infection control and safety procedures. The position rewards dependability and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Performs tasks to ensure residents receive timely, high quality food.
• Attends in-service training for Food Service/Culinary staff.
• Follow facility safety programs.
• Understand therapeutic diets.
• Observe infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow oral directions.
• Set up trays and tables.
• Serve on tray line.
• Serve trays.
• Bus trays.
• Pour and cover beverages.
• Assist in preparing and covering food.
• Clean work area.
• Assist in proper care and use of kitchen equipment.
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff.
• Work in other Hospitality areas as needed.
• Observe infection control procedures in the Dining Services department.
• Follow Residents' Rights policies.
• Understand therapeutic diets.
• Follow facility safety programs.
• Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability.
• Accept assigned duties cooperatively.
• Maintain accountability for Staff Handbook data.
• Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly manner.
