Job summary

Avalon Senior Living in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated Culinary Server to ensure high-quality dining experiences for residents. The role supports meal preparation, service, and kitchen/dining cleanliness, with shifts between 6 AM and 7 PM and occasional special events.

Hours include breakfast-lunch and lunch-dinner windows, with every other weekend. The position emphasizes hygiene, organization, and teamwork within a compassionate senior-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe education requirements completed.
• Strong organizational, time-management and computer skills.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and portioning according to menu and schedule.
• Complete resident checklist and report results to cook or CD.
• Assist in meal service adhering to sanitation standards.
• Inform CD of any substandard food quality.
• Monitor food and beverage temperatures.
• Bus tables and wash dishes.
• Maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle food storage and disposal per regulations.
• Clean workspaces and equipment.
• Load/unload dishwasher and store clean items.
