Job summary

Dawn Ranch Lodge in Guerneville, CA is seeking a part-time Kitchen Runner to bridge the kitchen and dining room. You will assist with daily prep, station setup, and service while also delivering dishes to guests and presenting them confidently.

The role requires professional kitchen experience, strong knife skills, knowledge of allergens, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. California Food Handler and RBS certifications are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Previous professional kitchen experience required; fine dining or Michelin-level restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong basic cooking techniques and knife skills.
• Knowledge of allergens, sourcing, and menu storytelling.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and components per recipes and Chef specs.
• Assist with prep, station setup, and service in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Deliver dishes from kitchen to dining areas with accuracy and presentation.
• Explain dishes to guests and answer questions about ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pass and prep areas.
• Coordinate with Captains and service staff to ensure timing.
