Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and support daily reporting. You will ensure high standards of quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety, and coordinate with the manager on daily menus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and follow verbal instruction.
• Able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to improve customer happiness and eye appeal.
• Coordinate major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Follow uniform policy; connect with Manager daily for menus.
• Supervise food temperature requirements and maintain clean areas.
• Scrub and sanitize counters and steam tables; sweep/mop as needed.
• Maintain a neat garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the kitchen.
