Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with meal preparation, maintain cash receipts, and complete daily reports. The role emphasizes high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

The position involves preparing meals, ensuring correct storage, and serving items per schedules while adhering to department policies. It also requires lifting and standing for extended periods, with PPE provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Connect with the Manager daily to understand and prepare the menu for the day.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
