Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a full-time Culinary Expeditor - Commissary for the KIPP Texas Public Schools in Houston. The role coordinates loading and dispatch of meals from the commissary to district sites, ensuring food safety standards are met and deliveries stay on schedule.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of related experience, demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, and can work in refrigerated environments.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of food service, warehouse, distribution, logistics, or school nutrition experience.
• Strong organizational and communicational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review production sheets, packing lists, and delivery schedules.
• Verify orders for accuracy, temperatures, and required documentation.
• Coordinate staging, loading, and on-time dispatch by route.
• Resolve shortages, substitutions, and delivery discrepancies with kitchen, warehouse, and driver teams.
• Maintain HACCP, sanitation, FIFO, inventory, and delivery records.
• Keep staging and loading areas clean, safe, and organized.
