Job summary

The Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY seeks career-minded cooks with a calm, team-focused approach to a busy, fine-dining kitchen. You will cook to order, fry, sauté and broil a variety of menu items and work the hot food lines including broiler, fry station and salad station.

Desirable candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of table-service kitchen experience with solid sanitation knowledge; ability to lift 50 pounds; and the creativity to contribute specials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years cooking experience in a table service dining environment.
• Must meet sanitation standards.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Able to work in a fast-paced fine dining setting.
• Knowledge of creating specials is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cook to order, fry, sauté and broil menu items.
• Operate hot food line: broiler, fry station and salad station.
• Work as part of a team in a busy hotel kitchen.
