Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a full-time cook to prepare meals for patients, staff, and guests in a hospital setting on a rotating shift. You will assist in menu development, order food, train new cooks, supervise kitchen staff, and keep the work area clean.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Five years' experience in institutional volume cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals for patients, staff, and guests of the medical center, including catered functions.
• Assists in menu development for patients, the cafeteria, and special functions. Orders all the food for Patients, guests, and catered functions.
• Trains new cooks. Assists in scheduling and supervision of cooks. Keeps work area and equipment clean.
