Job summary

City of Boise is seeking an instructor to inspire students through fun, hands-on culinary classes. You’ll create and teach lessons that spark creativity, build kitchen skills, and boost confidence in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Applicants must be 19 or older and able to work varied hours including evenings and weekends. You will maintain rosters, prepare materials, ensure equipment readiness, and supervise participants while following City policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year culinary experience.
• effective instructional techniques.
• ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in culinary classes.
• Develop and implement class curriculum with supervisor.
• Prepare materials and supplies for class.
• Maintain rosters and attendance sheets for duration of class.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are in good working order and notify supervisor when items need repair or replacement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
