Job summary

Juniper Communities is seeking an Executive Chef/Dietary Manager to oversee daily Dining Services operations in a healthcare setting. You will align with the organization’s philosophy, supervise staff, plan menus with a dietitian, and manage procurement and budgets.

The role requires a High School Diploma with culinary/food service background and prior management experience in healthcare. Strong organizational skills and compliance with health regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and educational background in culinary arts or food service.
• Previous management experience in healthcare or service-related setting.
• Knowledge of all applicable governmental regulations.
• Knowledge of the dietary needs of older adults.
• Aptitude in math for interpreting menus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to philosophy, hallmarks, and policies governing Dining Services.
• Coordinate communication among dining services staff and resident assistants.
• Prepare work assignments and schedules; procure food and supplies.
• Produce meals for residents, staff, and visitors; ensure sanitation per Health Department regulations.
• Work with dietitian on menus, special diets, and cycle menus.
• Collaborate with Wellness Director on dietary needs and events.
• Maintain records and complete administrative paperwork.
• Supervise dining staff including training, disciplining, and evaluating.
