Job summary

The Phoenix at Opelika is seeking a Cook to join their team. The Cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director and is responsible for all food preparation to meet quality, quantity and service standards for the community.

Shift details include Mon-Fri with every other weekend required. Education includes a high school diploma, culinary training preferred, and SERV Safe certification or ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One year related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• SERV Safe certificate required or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to approved recipes and menus.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and comply with health regulations.
• Operate dish machines and ensure proper washing and sanitation.
• Record temperatures, production quantities and related data.
• Assist with inventory, deliveries and regulatory compliance.
