Job summary

The Linden Senior Living Apartments in Moorhead, MN is hiring a Culinary Assistant / Server for full-time hours (645am–3:15pm) with every other weekend and holiday rotation. You will assist with meal service to residents and support the Nutrition and Culinary Services team.

Ideal candidates may have prior food service experience; not required. The role emphasizes sanitary handling, timely service, and teamwork while providing cheerful, respectful service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Follows portion control size standards.
• Sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals.
• Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
• Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook.
• Monitors daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
• Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
• Organizes and plans work schedule to meet times for serving.
• Operates dish machine according to directions. Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
• Assists in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.
