Job Type: Full-Time positions available; 11:00AM - 7:00PM Shift

Pay Rate: Starting at $14.00 hourly depending on experience

Summary:

In this role, you will assist residents with dining needs, perform table service professionally and timely, and maintain a clean dining environment. Your responsibilities include setting up and cleaning the dining area, observing residents' responses, and working collaboratively with staff to ensure excellent service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in food preparation according to the menu.
  2. Follow sanitation, safety, and cleaning procedures.
  3. Wash and store dishes properly.
  4. Serve and assist residents during meals.
  5. Clean kitchen and food service areas daily.
  6. Maintain a safe and orderly environment for residents.
  7. Perform general cleaning duties in kitchen and dining areas.
  8. Provide a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents and visitors.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to requests from residents and families.
  10. Communicate effectively in residents' preferred languages.
  11. Maintain safety and report hazards immediately.
  12. Follow emergency procedures and policies.
  13. Work collaboratively with team members and management.
  14. Maintain a positive attitude towards work and residents.
  15. Adhere to attendance policies and participate in training sessions.
  16. Wear appropriate attire as per dress code.
  17. Refer resident care inquiries to supervisors, respecting privacy regulations.
  18. Assist in training new staff in dining services.
  19. Take initiative, seek additional information, and suggest improvements.
  20. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in simple instructions and small groups.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve basic problems.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED; less than one year of related experience or training; or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and balance. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Occasionally exposed to bloodborne pathogens. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
