Job summary

The Peaks Senior Living Community seeks a Culinary Assistant to support dining services in our Flagstaff campus. You will assist in all dietary functions per established policies and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

Primary duties include serving attractive meals, delivering meals and trays, and helping with food preparation and setup. Related duties and catering support may be required.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff, and the public.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Provide Platinum Service to each resident, guest and staff member.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties.
• Set up meal trays, food carts and the dining room, as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Assist with the setup and refill of catering and/or buffet functions.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
