Job summary

Suncoast East is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant in Sarasota, FL to support food preparation and dining service for residents. The role includes assisting with meals, following sanitation and safety procedures, and keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.

You will help serve residents at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, maintain a respectful, caring atmosphere, and work as part of a team. Training and adherence to HIPAA policies are required.

Qualifications

• Language: read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Reasoning: apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
• Physical Demands: must lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation according to established menu.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Serve residents in dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Clean kitchen, equipment, and storage areas daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond promptly to requests.
• Observe HIPAA regulations and follow policies in emergencies.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
