Job description

EquipmentShare is hiring a Culinary Assistant for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our growing team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Work with the ES Culinary Team and the Executive Chef to learn about gardening, culinary techniques, and various projects.
  2. Prepare breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday.
  3. Assist in organizing weekly meetings, parties, and special events.
  4. Help manage inventory, including ordering and usage.
  5. Stock snacks, coffee, and drinks for staff.
  6. Contribute to planning weekly menus.
  7. Support No Child Hungry and Disaster Relief Projects.
  8. Assist with cleanup and detailed projects.
Required Skills/Abilities
  1. Interest in culinary arts or a desire to work in the culinary field.
  2. Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment; willingness to learn.
  3. Gardening skills are a plus; willingness to learn garden-to-plate processes.
  4. Ability to multitask and embrace challenges.
  5. Ability to follow directions and accept feedback.
  6. Positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges.
  7. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  8. Ability to stand for long periods.
  9. Willingness to work in various temperatures and environments.
