This position is for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 school years.

Qualifications:

1. State or Territory Certification/License: A valid, fully professional state teaching license or its equivalent will be accepted. The license must be unencumbered. Alternatively, Praxis I and II or seven years of teaching experience at the PreK-12 level can substitute for an unencumbered license, provided all minimum education and qualification standards are met. Military spouse preference under MSLRA will be considered for encumbered licenses.
2. Academic Preparation and Requirements: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution is required, including at least 40 semester hours in general education across various fields, and a minimum of 18 semester hours in professional teacher education courses.
3. Student Teaching or Internship: Completion of student teaching or an internship in an accredited U.S. institution is required. Alternatively, one year of successful full-time teaching employment can be credited.
4. Additional Educational Requirements: Possess a Culinary Arts degree from an accredited Culinary Institute (minimum 18-month program). Complete 9 semester hours in professional teacher education within the first 2 years of employment, or acquire a DoDEA or state certificate in another secondary teacher category by the end of the fifth school year.
