Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking systems software engineers to design and ship production C/C++ features in the CUDA driver and runtime, tracing workloads across CPU, OS, interconnect, and GPU boundaries. You will bring up new platforms and turn evidence into future software direction for AI and accelerated computing.

You will own complex performance problems end-to-end, set subsystem direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with application, library, framework, and hardware teams to push performance,

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong production C/C systems-programming experience in a complex codebase.
• Strong OS and concurrency foundations, including threads, synchronization, processes, and memory management.
• Strong computer-architecture foundations: processors, memory hierarchy, data movement.
• Proven ability to measure performance and validate improvements quantitatively.
• Sound technical judgment and clear cross-team communication.
• CUDA or GPU experience is valuable but not required with deep systems foundations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate, and ship performance-centric features in the CUDA driver and runtime.
• Optimize critical execution paths for latency, throughput, bandwidth, efficiency, and scalability.
• Own complex performance problems end-to-end, form hypotheses, measure, and isolate root causes.
• Establish performance expectations for current and future platforms and drive readiness.
• Translate workload evidence into API improvements and future architecture direction.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and communicate findings clearly.
• Lead feature development and mentor engineers while shaping hardware/software decisions.
