Oceans Behavioral Hospital Hammond seeks a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to provide assessment, intervention planning, treatment planning and group therapy to support patient progress in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and CTRS license with yearly certification, plus 3 years of clinical inpatient experience and at least 1 year in supervision, delivering care in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• CTRS certification and ongoing renewal.
• 3+ years of inpatient clinical practice.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Provides assessment and group therapy per physician orders.
• Plans and conducts individual and group therapy sessions.
• Completes all documentation within 72 hours of admission.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and communicates progress.
• Documents in the medical record and identifies safety and care needs.
• Discharges planning and family/patient education as appropriate.
