Brooks Rehabilitation in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Recreation Therapist to evaluate patients and develop individualized therapeutic programs in an inpatient hospital setting. The role collaborates with families and an interdisciplinary team to support recovery, independence, and community reintegration.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and group sessions, community outings, and coordinating with community resources for discharge.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy from an accredited university.
• National certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through NCTRC.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with physical disabilities or in a rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Complete patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment goals and interventions.
• Provide individual and group therapeutic recreation sessions based on patient treatment plans.
• Facilitate community reintegration outings and 1:1 or group activities.
• Coordinate with community resources to support continuity of care and discharge.
• Educate patients and families and provide resources for progress after discharge.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report hazards.
• Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and respect while aligning with Brooks Rehabilitation values.
