A leading psychiatric care facility in Washington, DC is seeking a Recreational Therapist responsible for providing therapeutic activities for patients aged 5 to 65. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy and a CTRS certification. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a multidisciplinary treatment team. This position aims to enhance patient wellbeing through structured recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy is required.
• Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• One year of experience as a Recreational Therapist is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide recreational/expressive therapies for patients aged 5-65.
• Act as liaison to treatment teams with assessment knowledge.
• Document patient progress and communicate as a part of the treatment team.

Knowledge of Recreational therapy standards
