Meridell Achievement Center, a 132-bed behavioral health facility near Austin, seeks a Recreation Therapist. You will manage caseloads across units, plan and lead Saturday Recreation Therapy groups, and collaborate with a multifunction treatment team to support youth goals.

CTRS certification is required; strong interpersonal, clinical, and collaborative skills are essential. Opportunities include animal care activities and meaningful patient engagement.

Qualifications

• CTRS certification through NCTRC required prior to hire date.
• Strong interpersonal and clinical skills.
• Collaborative, positive attitude and solid work ethic.
• One year of group facilitation experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of 2 primary units and support group Recreation Therapy to meet treatment goals.
• Plan and facilitate Recreation Therapy groups for 7 units on Saturdays.
• Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy department for holidays and events.
• Document group notes and assessments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings to coordinate with unit teams.
• Care for animals on campus with the Recreation Therapy department.
