Job summary

Shelfmark, Inc. is hiring its first Chief Technology Officer to lead the technical organization across hardware, firmware, software, and machine learning. You will own the technical vision and execution, ensuring a robust, scalable platform for industrial AI.

The role demands systems-level thinking, comfort with real-world industrial constraints, and experience scaling teams and products from early-stage to production at meaningful revenue. On-site on the factory floor is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering with significant leadership experience.
• Senior technical leader (VP Eng, CTO, or equivalent) at a startup or high-growth company.
• Proven track record of taking a complex technical product from early stage to scaled deployment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end technical architecture across vision systems, edge compute, data pipelines, ML deployment and platform.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across CV/ML, embedded, backend, and hardware disciplines.
• Own system performance, uptime, latency, and deployment frameworks across customer sites.
• Serve as a key member of the executive team and help define Shelfmark's long-term technical vision.
