We are looking for an expert Full Stack AI Engineer to join CupidAI in the role of CTO to work with us in Part Time capacity for long term. In this role you will develop and maintain the back-end and middleware of the mobile app and web, implement image parsing functionalities using AI, and ensure seamless user experiences. One of the first features to implement is parsing for images and texts in our iOS mobile app. You’ll enable users to upload images, process them via an API (e.g., OCR or computer vision with AI), and display the results in the app’s interface.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for architecting and developing middleware, scalable backend systems and APIs that power our mobile and web applications. You’ll work closely with our front-end developer to ensure seamless integration, manage cloud infrastructure, databases, authentication, and third-party integrations, and maintain high performance, security, and reliability across our products. You'll also contribute to system design, deployment strategies, and continuous improvement of the overall tech stack. This is a PART TIME role with remote work opportunity (20hrs/week).

Requirements:

Strong experience with OCR/computer vision tools or services. Experience using AI technologies for reading images. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Strong background in a server-side language (Node.js, Python, etc.). Understanding of iOS mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, React Native). Excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Payment:

As a startup, we currently offer compensation through equity and our native tokens, giving you ownership and upside as the platform grows. A cash component will be added in about four months, offering the potential for hybrid compensation as the company scales.
