Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced CTICU Advanced Practice Provider to join the intensivist-led ICU team. The role delivers high-quality care for complex cardiothoracic patients, including postoperative management and advanced support such as LVAD/ECMO.

The APP will collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and transplant teams in a fast-paced environment, utilizing evidence-based practice and EMR tools to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Florida licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
• ACNP/AGACNP certification for APRNs or national certification for PAs.
• CTICU/ICU APP experience preferred; fellowships may be available for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary rounds and manage CTICU patients in an intensivist-led ICU.
• Post-operative care for CABG, valve, heart/lung transplants, LVAD, ECMO.
• Manage hemodynamics and ventilators; participate in rapid response and codes.
• Perform ICU procedures including arterial lines, intubations, central lines, chest tubes.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests per protocols; communicate findings clearly.
