Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Clinical Trials Infusion (CTI) RN Liaison to act as the primary conduit between clinical research and infusion operations at Moores Cancer Center.

The role oversees treatment plan reviews, staff education, study activation, and coordination with CTO and infusion teams across MCC, MOP, ECC, and KOP. This is a part-time appointment with potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• RN license in California is required.
• BLS at time of hire and intent to obtain BART within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years oncology and/or infusion nursing experience.
• Familiarity with clinical trial/research processes and treatment plan review against study protocols.
• Current ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card or obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to educate and support nursing staff and CRCs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of business software and data management systems used in nursing units.

Responsibilities

• Review daily CTI patient list and allocate time for long infusions.
• Review CTI charts and liaison with teams.
• Verify treatment plans against study protocols before orders.
• Review protocols with PIs prior to trial initiation.
• Streamline source documents and records.
• Provide new trial education for CTI RNs.
• Assess SAEs and IReports with the team.
• Serve as a resource to CRCs for protocol compliance.
