Job summary

The Confederated Tribes Of The Colville Reservation is seeking a Food Services Cook at San Poil Treatment Center in Keller, WA. The role prepares and serves daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner, handles cooking, serving, cleaning, and maintains kitchen safety and sanitation in compliance with tribal and federal standards.

You will report to the Food Services Manager, work a hands-on kitchen schedule, and contribute to a clean, organized environment.

Qualifications

• The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 12–18 months of restaurant cooking experience in food services.
• Experience in an institutional, military, or large commercial kitchen is a plus.
• Must be a minimum age of 21 years old.
• Ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste and smell.
• Ability to frequently use hands to handle, feel or operate objects and lift up to 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Summary

The Food Services Cook prepares and serves daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals at San Poil Treatment Center. Responsibilities include meal preparation, serving, dishwashing and sanitizing, setting up and cleaning food service equipment, and maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen, freezer, refrigerator, and storage areas. The Cook follows all applicable federal, state, local, and Tribal food safety and sanitation standards and works under the direction of the Food Services Manager.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements

• The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• 12-18 months of restaurant type cooking experience in food services
• Experience in an institutional, military, or large commercial kitchen a plus
• Must be a minimum age of 21 years old
• Requires the ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, and smell
• Requires the ability to frequently use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Driver’s License

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
