Job summary

Wake Preparatory Academy-High School is accepting applications for a CTE Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.

The teacher will implement a technology curriculum, integrate digital tools, and foster digital literacy, coding, and cybersecurity concepts while maintaining a safe, organized classroom and collaborating with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Implement a technology curriculum aligned with state and national standards, focusing on digital literacy, coding, software applications, and emerging technologies.
• Develop detailed lesson plans with hands-on activities, projects and real-world applications.
• Integrate technology tools into lessons to enhance learning and skill development.
• Teach technology concepts using demonstrations, lectures, group projects, and interactive activities.
• Facilitate learning in areas such as computer science, digital media, web design, cybersecurity, and hardware/software use.
• Provide timely feedback, assess student work, and maintain records to inform instruction.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment and implement effective classroom management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in school meetings and extracurricular activities as needed.
