Job Summary
  • Perform specialized work in the area creating, managing databases, and reports related to Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and various CTE programs that support the CTSO.
  • Occasional in-state and rare out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties
  • Compile programmatic data reports to meet requested needs of the CTSO State Advisor and/or CTE unit
  • Maintain website to ensure the CTSO web page is updated and posted in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain conferences flyers and guideline materials
  • Perform administrative duties that support the CTSO State Advisor; CTSO activities inclusive of, but not limited to phone management, email, and schedule assistance, maintaining records, generating reports, etc.
  • Assist the planning and coordination of meetings and conferences, including, travel policies and procedures, printing policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and manage a procedure for identifying need, ordering, disseminating, storing, and keeping constant inventory of supplies for the CTSO
  • Conduct necessary research to answer investigative inquiries to internal and external customers
  • Develop procedures as directed and/or needed for the CTSO in cooperation with CTE unit Deputy Associate Superintendent (DAS), Supervisor, and the CTSO State Advisor
  • Provide project management support in travel, procurement, federal and state reporting, database management, and research for various programs in education and the CTSO
  • Coordinate long range planning efforts for training, events, and sessions for the various CTE programs in education and the CTSO State Advisor.
  • Prepare materials, maintain database, and distribute PD certificates for all CTSO trainings
  • Provide support and documentation to ensure CTE programs are approved to have a CTSO
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge in:
  • Letter and memo composition
  • Common mathematical calculations utilized in spreadsheets/data analysis
  • English grammar and punctuation
  • Understanding of contract and other agreements
  • Applicants must have administrative experience.
  • Applicants must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one prior to employment start date.
